LJ Feed for my Book Page [Mar. 4th, 2007|01:08 pm]
The new live journal blogger lectitans (http://lectitans.livejournal.com/) was kind enough to create a LJ feed for my primary blog, Jen Robinson's book page. You can find it here: http://syndicated.livejournal.com/jkrbooks/.

I'm still doing most of my posting over at my Typepad page (http://jkrbooks.typepad.com), but I thought I would mention a few recent reads here:

  • New Moon by Stephenie Meyer (young adult). Loved the first book (Twilight). Didn't like this one quite as much, because Edward is missing in action for a big chunk of the book, but I still can't wait for the next book in the series.

  • Kiki Strike by Kirsten Miller (middle grade). I'm still reading this one, but I already want to buy copies for all of the 12-year-old girls I know, and I have tons of pages highlighted for my review.

  • The Two Minute Rule by Robert Crais (adult mystery/suspense). A fun, quick read by an excllent author.

  • The Girl Who Owned a City by O.T. Nelson (middle grade). This had come highly recommended, and I do love dystopian fiction, but I found it a bit disappointing in practice. It was published back in the 70's, and I enjoyed it, but I thought that the author could have done more with the premise.

What are you reading?

New LJ Page [Aug. 22nd, 2006|10:15 am]
[Current Location |Home]

I've decided to set up a Live Journal page, primarily so that I can comment on other LJ pages, without my comments being anonymous. At least for now, I'll still be updating over on my TypePad blog, at http://jkrbooks.typepad.com/blog. Please visit that site for more details. Thanks!
